1-7. Circuit Description
Moreover, the clock and HD pulses are input from a camcorder, and the video and color framing pulses
are read from asynchronous FIFO in the timing of these pulses and sent to the 40-pin camcorder.
The camcorder is gen-locked using a RET video line signal from CA.
When a BNC input signal is SDI, a 4:2:2 video signal is also converted into a composite signal using a
digital encoder. The converted signal is sent through a driver circuit to the RET video line of a camcorder.
As a result, the camcorder is gen-locked.
When a BNC input signal is composite, the composite signal from the AD-150/P board is sent through a
driver circuit to the RET video line of a camcorder. As a result, the camcorder is gen-locked.
1-7-4. DIF-67 Board
The DIF-67 board is mainly used for SDI input/output processing.
The BNC input and output signals of CA are used in common by an analog video composite signal and
SDI signal. They are mode-selected using an SDI/COMPOSITE switch.
When COMPOSITE is set;
The input composite signal is fed through a 75-ohm driver to the output BNC connector as soon as it is
sent to the AD-150/P board.
When SDI is set;
In the input mode, an SDI signal of 270 Mbps input from the input BNC of CA is reclocked and sent to
the output BNC of CA by active-through operation, and simultaneously, the input SDI signal is converted
into a 4:2:2 10-bit parallel signal and sent to the DA-130/P board. A clock pulse of 27 MHz extracted
from an input SDI signal, an HD pulse generated from TRS in the parallel signal, and a color framing
pulse generated based on the video index information are also output to the DA-130/P board.
For an audio signal, the embedded audio signal superimposed on the input SDI signal is converted into an
AES/EBU format and sent to the camcorder as a four- channel audio signal.
In the output mode, the 4:2:2 10-bit parallel digital video signal (CAM signal or VTR PB signal of
camcorder) that is phase-adjusted on the DA-130/P board and the four-channel digital audio signal based
on the AES/EBU format sent from a camcorder are converted into an SDI output signal of 270 Mbps (an
audio signal is time base-compressed and inserted into the sync tip period). This signal is sent to the CCZ
connector and the output BNC connector.
For the signal output to the output BNC connector, an output SDI signal an BNC input SDI signal are
switched and output using an SDI decoder (IC29).
The VBS and SDI signals output to the CCZ connector are switched to the SDI output signal or compos-
ite signal (sent from the DA-130/P board) according to the connected portable VTR (detected at pin 14 of
a CCZ connector), irrespective of the SDI/COMPOSITE switch setting.
