6. Replacement of bobbin

(1) How to replace the bobbin thread

To change the bobbin, follow the steps of procedure described below.

(2) How to replace the bobbin thread using the bobbin thread counter

It is possible to know the replacement time of bobbin thread by means of the bobbin thread counter of the
sewing machine.
When the set number on the bobbin thread counter is reached, sensor head ❷ retracts to allow replacement
of the bobbin thread.
1) While the sewing machine is standing by in the
sewing-enabled state, keep RESET key ❶ on the
indication box held pressed for two seconds or
more. The sensor head ❷ travels to the retracted
position to allow the bobbin to be replaced.
2) Open the safety cover ❸ . Replace the bobbin
with a new one. After the replacement, close the
safety cover ❸ .
3) Press RESET key ❶ on the indication box. When
you press RESET key ❶ , the bobbin case hold-
er positioning finger ❹ checks the position of the
bobbin.
If the bobbin position is correct, sensor head ❷
will return to the initial position to complete the
bobbin thread changing procedure.
If the bobbin position cannot be detected, the
bobbin case setting fault will occur and
lamp lights up. Make sure that the bobbin is
inserted correctly. Then, press RESET key ❶
again for confirmation.
At this time, the
flashes on and off.
1) Replace the bobbin thread referring to the afore-
mentioned steps of procedure 2) to 3).
2) Press
key on the sewing machine operation
box to clear the bobbin thread counter.

chine for how to set the bobbin thread counter on
the sewing machine.
