Troubleshooting

8.2.2 Print Quality Problems

Problem
Foil not transferred.
Print peeling off.
There is a burr in the transfer area.
The printed text is unclear.
Foil is transferred over the entire sheet.
The transferred foil is peeling off.
Nothing is transferred.
Cause
The transfer temperature is too low.
The sheet is printed using a
non-toner-based method.
The sheet is dirty.
The Heat Roller inside the machine
is dirty.
The fuser unit may be near the end
of its life.
Poor toner fixing.
The transfer temperature is too
high.
The internal temperature of the
machine is too high.
The transfer temperature is too
high.
The internal temperature of the
machine is too high.
The text is too small.
An unsupported type of media is
used.
The transfer temperature is too low.
The front and back of the sheet are
misdetected.
Action
Increase the transfer temperature.

Use a sheet with toner-based print.
Use a clean sheet.
Contact your local Brother dealer.

Reprint the sheet using a laser printer.
