Maintenance and care

Replacing fuel filter
1. Fuel filter
3. Fuel line hook
Carburettor adjustment
1. Idle adjustment screw
2. Fuel line
4. Fuel tank
Tools required: 200-250 mm (8-10 in.) length of wire with
one end bent into a hook, clean rag, funnel,
and an approved fuel container
Parts required: Fuel line and filter
Fuel is VERY flammable. Use extreme care when mixing,
storing or handling.
NOTE
If filter is excessive dirty or no longer fits properly, replace it.

Use a clean rag to remove loose dirt from around fuel tank
cap and empty fuel tank.
2.
Use the "fuel line hook" to pull the fuel line and filter from the
tank.
3.
Remove the filter from the line and install the new fuel filter.
Tools required: Screwdriver, tachometer
Parts required: None
NOTE
Every unit is run at the factory and the carburettor is set in com-
pliance with Emission Regulations. This carburettor does not
have acceleration and high speed adjustment needles.
Before Adjustment
Check that:
Air filter is clean and properly installed.
Blower pipes are installed.

Place the unit on the ground and start the engine, then allow
it to idle 2-3 minutes until warm.
2.
If a tachometer is available, the engine idle speed should be
final adjusted to 3000 r/min.
