Port Menus

Port Information

The Port Information screen displays the port status, link state, the
communication speed and duplex mode, as well as the flow control
status. To change any of the port settings, use the Port Configuration
menu. The parameters shown in the following figure and table are for the
RJ-45 ports.

Description
Shows if the port is enabled or not.
Indicates if the port has a valid connection to an external device.
Shows the port speed (10M or 100M).
Displays the current duplex mode.
Shows the flow control type in use. Flow control can eliminate
frame loss by "blocking" traffic from end stations connected
directly to the switch. Back pressure is used for half duplex and
IEEE 802.3x for full duplex. Note that flow control should not be
used if a port is connected to a hub.
