Warranty Coverage:
Honda pow er equipm ent engines m anufactured after January 1, 1995
and sold in the State of California, U.S. EPA certified engines
m anufactured on or after Septem ber 1, 1996 and sold in all of the
United States, and Canadian certified engines m anufactured on or
after January 1, 2005 are covered by this w arranty for a period of tw o
years from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser. This
w arranty is transferable to each subsequent purchaser for the duration
of the w arranty period.
Warranty repairs w ill be m ade w ithout charge for diagnosis, parts or
labor. All defective parts replaced under this w arranty becom e the
property of Honda. Warranted parts are listed under Em ission Control
System Warranty Parts on page
as spark plugs and filters, that are on the w arranted parts list are
w arranted up to their required replacem ent interval only.
Honda is also liable for dam ages to other engine com ponents caused
by a failure of any w arranted part during the w arranty period.
Only Honda approved replacem ent parts m ay be used in the
perform ance of any w arranty repairs and m ust be provided w ithout
charge to the ow ner. The use of replacem ent parts not equivalent to
the original parts m ay im pair the effectiveness of your engine
em ission control system . If such a replacem ent part is used in the
repair or m aintenance of your engine, and an authorized Honda dealer
determ ines it is defective or causes a failure of a w arranted part, your
claim for repair of your engine m ay be denied. If the part in question is
not related to the reason your engine requires repair, your claim w ill
not be denied.
