ADDING FUEL

This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline w ith a pum p
octane rating of 86 or higher.
Never use stale or contam inated gasoline or an oil/gasoline m ixture.
Avoid getting dirt or w ater in the fuel tank.
If the fuel level is low , refuel in a w ell-ventilated area w ith the engine
stopped. If the engine has been running, allow it to cool first. Never
refuel the engine inside a building w here gasoline fum es can reach
flam es or sparks.
You m ay use regular unleaded gasoline containing no m ore than 10%
Ethanol (E10) or 5% M ethanol by volum e. In addition, M ethanol m ust
contain cosolvents and corrosion inhibitors.
Use of fuels w ith content of Ethanol or M ethanol greater than show n
above m ay cause starting and/or perform ance problem s. It m ay also
dam age m etal, rubber, and plastic parts of the fuel system .
Engine dam age or perform ance problem s that result from using a fuel
w ith percentages of Ethanol or M ethanol greater than show n above
are not covered under w arranty.
With the engine stopped, add fuel to the generator in a w ell-ventilated
area.
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel.
Stop the engine and keep heat, sparks, and flame away.
Handle fuel only outdoors.
Wipe up spills immediately.
