THESAFE-T-BEAM®MUSTBEALIGNED ORTHEOPEN-
ERWILLNOT FULLY FUNCTION.
Serious injury or death from a closing garage door may
result because of failure to test the safety reverse system.
Repeat this test monthly and adjust as needed.
TheSafe-T-Beam®is an invisible ray of light that travels
across the bottom of the garage door opening ( Figure 1).If
an object blocks the beam while the garage door is closing,
the opener will stop, then reverse and fully open the door.

Adjust the source and sensor units until the Green
indicator lightsstay on.

Be sure to stay out of the path of the beam while
making adjustments.

If one Green indicator light stays off, check for

Dirt on the lens.

Sun shinning into the lens.
A short in the wiring (check staples and
connections at terminals).
