ATM Vacuum Gauge Module Instruction Manual
If relays have been made operable, you may send an O command to disable
any specified relay. The example command disables relay 1 by shutting it
OFF:
Example PC command from host:
Response from module:
The last character in the command is the capital letter "O", not a zero.
If you shut a relay OFF, you must reconfigure it to make it operable.
The example read process control (RPC) command sequence causes the
module to return values indicating that relay 1 activates at 1.01 x 10
and deactivates at 2.00 x 10
Example RPC command from host:
Example response from module:
Example RPC command from host:
Response from module:
The "RPC1" value identifies relay 1.
The "A" or "D" value in the PC command designates the setpoint that is
being read:
• The "A" (activation) value is the indicated pressure at which relay 1
activates.
• A "D" (deactivation) value is the indicated pressure at which relay 1
deactivates.
The same command structure applies to all four process control relays
(RPC1, RPC2, RPC3, and RPC4).
In default mode, relays 1 and 3 are assigned to the Convectron gauge, and
relays 2 and 4 are assigned to the differential pressure sensor. RS–485
commands enable you to assign any relay to the Convectron gauge or to the
differential pressure sensor.
Failure to adjust relays for the gas that is being used can
cause an explosion due to overpressurization.
If relays are re−assigned, do not use the module to measure the
pressure of gases other than N
setpoints for the process gas that will be used.
