1.1. Connecting to a Console Port

Connect a terminal, where a terminal emulator operates, to a console port of the
RJ 45 model of this device. The terminal includes the asynchronous terminal pro-
duced by DEC and the hyper terminal (which is included in the Windows XP or ear-
lier version). Both the asynchronous terminal and the terminal emulator above are
compatible with VT100. The communication condition of asynchronous terminal is
configured, as follows.
・ Communication system: RS-232C (Compatible with ITU-TS V.24)
・ Emulation mode: VT100
・ Communication speed: 9,600bps
・ Data-length: 8 bits
・ Stop bits: 1 bit
・ Parity control: Nothing
・ Flow control: Nothing
・ Communication connector: RJ45
