Mains water connection
If the stainless steel hose supplied is
damaged, it must only be replaced
with an original Miele replacement
hose, available from Miele or at
www.miele-shop.com (depending on
country). Make sure the hose is suit‐
able for carrying drinking water.
Fitting the stainless steel hose
to the appliance
Make sure that the stainless steel
hose is not kinked or damaged. The
stainless steel hose must not be
shortened.
 Remove the cover cap from the bot‐
tom of the back panel of the ma‐
chine.
 Take the angled end of the stainless
steel hose and check whether there
is a washer. Fit one, if not.
 Screw the stainless steel hose cou‐
pling nut onto the threaded union.
 Ensure that all connections are water
tight.

Connection to the water inlet
Before making plumbing connec‐
tions, ensure the appliance is dis‐
connected from the mains electricity
supply.
Connection to the water supply should
be carried out by a qualified plumber
and should incorporate a tap with a
3/4" thread.
 Check that the filter/sealing ring is
present. The filter/sealing ring must
be present before connecting the
hose to the tap.
 Connect the stainless steel hose to
the tap.
Use the stainless steel hose supplied
with the machine. Old or used hoses
must not be connected to the coffee
machine.
 Ensure that it is screwed into position
correctly.
 The connection point is subject to
mains water pressure. Turn on the tap
slowly and check for leaks. Correct
the position of the seal and union if
necessary.
