Creating the descaling solution
We recommend using Miele descaling
tablets to descale the machine.
These have been specially developed
for use with Miele coffee machines and
prevent subsequent damage.
Other descaling agents, which con‐
tain other acids besides citric acid
and/or other undesirable substan‐
ces, such as chlorides for example,
could damage the coffee machine.
Moreover, the descaling effect re‐
quired could not be guaranteed if the
descaling solution was not of the ap‐
propriate concentration.
Miele descaling tablets are available to
order from Miele or via the internet at
www.miele-shop.com.
You will need 2 descaling tablets for the
descaling process.
Descaling the machine
 Fill the water container to the mark‐
er  with lukewarm water.
 Drop 2 descaling tablets in the water.
Follow the instructions for the mixing
ratio carefully. It is important that you
do not fill the water container with
too much or too little water. Other‐
wise the descaling process will be
cancelled prematurely.
