This application guide outlines the requirements and procedure to connect SITRANS RD500 and Siemens MultiRanger via an RS-485 MODBUS connection. The SITRANS RD500 is a remote data manager providing integrated web access, alarm event handling, and data capture for instrumentation. Siemens MultiRanger is a versatile short- to medium-range ultrasonic single and multi-vessel level monitor/controller. -

Connect the RS485 port on the SITRANS RD500 to the MultiRanger RS485 port on TB3 using wiring and practices in accordance with local electrical codes and requirements. 2. Set up a connection between the PC and SITRANS RD500, referring to the SITRANS RD500 Application instruction manual if necessary. -
