BOSS SECRETARY OVERRIDE

To Program Boss/Secretary Override Key
1.
Press the Feature key.
2.
Press the One-Touch Speed Calling key.
3.
Dial "Boss/Secretary Override" access code.
4.
Press the Recall key – displays on the LCD.
5.
Dial the boss' station number.
6.
Press the Feature key again.
To Operate
Example:
Station 2000 is boss, Station 2001 is secretary.
Boss is connected to Trunk A.
Incoming call on Trunk B connects to secretary, but is intended
for boss.
Secretary
1.
Lift the handset to answer Trunk B, ask caller to
hold.
2.
Press the Call Hold feature key or the Transfer
key and dial call hold access code. Receive a Dial
Tone.
3.
Press the BOSS/SEC OVERRIDE key. Receive a
ringback tone.
Boss
1.
Hear 3 bursts of tone. LCD indicates:
Option 1
1.
Boss presses the Answer key and converses with
secretary. Trunk A is placed on hold.
2.
Secretary hangs up. Boss is connected to Trunk
B.
3.
Boss can alternate between the two parties by
pressing the Answer key.
Option 2
1.
Boss presses the Answer key and converses with
secretary. Trunk A is placed on hold.
2.
Boss presses the station 01 key and converses
with Trunk B. Boss presses the Answer key to
reconnect to Trunk A.
3.
Secretary hears a reorder tone, hangs up.
4.
Boss can alternate between the two parties by
pressing the Answer key.
Option 3
1.
If boss does not respond to 3 bursts of tone,
secretary presses the Recall key.
2.
Secretary is connected to Trunk B.
Option 4
1.
Boss presses the Answer key and converses with
Secretary. Trunk A is placed on hold.
2.
Boss denies call, presses the Transfer key to
return to Trunk A.
3.
Secretary is returned to Trunk B.

DO NOT DISTURB

While an Idle State (On Hook)
1.
Press the Do Not Disturb key. LED lights.
■The Do Not Disturb key must be programmed by the
Telephony Server administrator on the Programmable
feature key or soft key.
■"DND" is displayed as the soft key of Do Not Disturb
feature.
To Cancel
1.
Press the Do Not Disturb key. LED goes out.
