5. Additional information and precautions

(1) Caution in assembly

1) Application of sealant

* Used sealant : Three Bond 1212 (or equivalent)
① Bottom surface of upper looper guide support
Apply a sealant to the bottom surface of the upper looper guide support ❶ , which contacts with the frame
surface.
② Front edge of upper looper guide support
After assembling the upper looper guide support, apply a sealant to the gap of the contact surface be-
tween the frame and the upper looper guide support ❶ (
Be careful not to allow the
sealant to run to the rear.
Apply a sealant to bottom surface.
③ Mounting plane of feed bar presser
Apply a sealant to the mounting
plane A of the feed bar presser ❷
and four screw holes.
④ Oil shield rubber case
Apply a sealant evenly to the seal
groove B of the oil shield rubber
case ❸ .
⑤ Looper guide oil shield plate
Apply a sealant evenly to the mounting plane

Apply a sealant.
