Recommended Print Tools

Having connected the AXIS 5600+ to your network, this section now
describes how to set up your print server for printing in a UNIX/Linux
environments.
If you intend to operate your AXIS 5600+ in a multiprotocol
environment, you should also proceed according to one or more of
the following sections, as appropriate to your network.

Section Setting Up - Windows, on page 37
Section Setting Up - OS/2, on page 93
Section Setting Up - Macintosh, on page 99
For printer configuration, printtool and printconfig are the most
common. How they are invoked depends on which distribution and
window manager you use.
SMIT is the recommended printing tool. It contains an integrated
printer driver list, but does not have printer detection functionality.
Instructions:
Type the command smit in a Terminal window, then click Print
Spooling.
