When you connect to an MGC TTY that is not configured as a system
terminal, you receive no system prompt.
When you connect to an MGC TTY that is configured as a system
terminal, you automatically connect to the Call Server SL1 shell.
In either situation, the commands in the following table provide access to
the LDB and OAM shells.

To access the Call Server Problem Determination Tool (PDT), enter
Ctrl+p, Ctrl+d, Ctrl+t on an MGC TTY configured as a system terminal.
Remote access to the MGC debug shell
Release 5.5 of CS 1000 supports rlogin, telnet, FTP, and secure shell
(ssh) for remote access to the Media Gateway Controller.
For remote access to the MGC, initiate an rlogin or telnet session from the
remote host to the ELAN address of the MGC.
The commands in

Media Gateway Controller log file
A 1 MB circular log file accumulates system messages. The file, called
Log0001.rpt, is stored in the MGC directory /u/rpt. Each record contains:
timestamp
message mnemonic
message description
severity
if applicable, the four character LED message
Description
Obtain an LDB prompt.
Obtain an OAM prompt.
Obtain an OAM prompt from the LDS command line. The LDS
session terminates after a successful logon to OAM.
Obtain an LDS prompt from the OAM command line. The OAM
session terminates after a successful logon to LDB.
Exit LDB or OAM.
