L. Too high discharge pressure
Possible cause
Insufficient of excessive cooling air, flow choking
Air or non-condensed gas present in the system
(abnormally hot condenser)
Excessive coolant (high supercooling degree, low
superheat degree, and high suction pressure)
Too high system load
Poor pressure control over condensation fan or fan (a
certain fan fails, and too high pressure of condenser)
M. The water chiller cannot function in heating (CGAR).
Possible cause
Wrong or poor control line
Four-way valve failure
N. Excessively low pressure—heating condition
Possible cause
Insufficient coolant
Too low or too cold of air entering the coiler
The water chiller is operated at a temperature below
minimum operating environmental temperature.
Expansion valve failure
K. Too low discharge pressure
Possible cause
Too high cooling load (high supply water temperature)
Too low water flow

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
Solution
Clean the coiler and check whether fan and motor are normal.
Vacuumize the system and re-fill it with coolant.
Reclaim redundant coolant.
Lower the load.
Repair or change the switch.
Solution
Check the control line.
Change the four-way valve.
Solution
Replenish coolant.
Clean the coiler and check whether fan and motor are normal.
Provide an environmental temperature disconnecting switch.
Change the expansion valve.
Solution
Check whether the filter screen is blocked and whether the
balance valve is correctly set.
Check whether the filter screen is blocked and whether the
balance valve is correctly set.
