supercooling degree)
Blocked dry filter (temperature from coolant pipe to dryer
room is changed)
Improper regulation of expansion valve
Blocked expansion valve (too high superheat degree and
too high water temperature)
Too low water flow of evaporator
Non-condensed gas in the system
Leak of compressor valve and high suction pressure (high
high-pressure pressure, and low low-pressure pressure)
Possible cause
Insufficient charge of coolant (high superheat degree and
low supercooling degree)
Too low setting of temperature switch (too low low-
pressure pressure and too low outlet water temperature)
Too low cold water flow
Blocked dry filter
Blocked expansion valve (high superheat degree)
Possible cause
Too high cooling load (high supply water temperature)
Excessive liquid feed of expansion valve (too low
superheat degree, leading to overflowing of liquid onto the
compressor)
Rupture of air suction valve (high noise of compressor)
Possible cause
Inadequate coolant (high superheat degree, low
supercooling degree and air bubbles in the sight glass)
Rupture or leak of vent valve of compressor
Poor low voltage switch
Ensure minimum operating environmental temperature.
Solution
Supply coolant.
Change the dry filter
Regulate the expansion valve again.
Repair or change the expansion valve.
Check the filter screen and regulate water flow.
Vacuumize the system and re-fill it with the coolant.
Change the compressor
Solution
Identify the leak point, repair it, and recharge the coolant.
Regulate the temperature switch again.
Check whether the filter screen is blocked and whether the
balance valve is correctly set.
Check whether the dry filter is frosted, and if necessary, change it.
Clean or change the expansion valve.
Solution
Please refer to Section E.
Regulate superheat setting and check whether the thermo probe
is mounted in the gas line.
Change the compressor
Solution
Identify the leak point, repair it, and recharge the coolant.
Change the compressor
Change the poor control element.
Exercise proper discharge pressure control or provide an ambient
temperature locking switch
