Hardware Reset Switch
The Super Voyager PCI-II 486 ISA motherboard has a standard two-pin reset connector.
Internal Cache Memory
Different 486 CPUs have either 8 KB or 16 KB cache. This cache memory mode is set by WINBIOS
automatically.
Shadow RAM
The system BIOS ROM is always shadowed. Video BIOS and Adaptor ROM shadowing can be enabled via
Advanced Setup in 32 KB increments.
System BIOS
The Super Voyager PCI-II 486 ISA motherboard has a 128 KB WINBIOS with built-in WINBIOS Setup
and user-definable hard disk drive types. The system BIOS is stored in Flash EPROMs and can be
reprogrammed via software without removing the ROM. The system BIOS:
• supports logical block addressing and IDE block mode,
• automatically detects IDE drives,
• provides boot sector virus protection,
• automatically detects and configures system memory,
• allows all EGA, VGA, and adaptor ROM BIOS memory segments to be shadowed to RAM,
• provides automatic PCI configuration, and
• complies with the V1.0A Plug and Play specification.
