Standard Setup

Select the Standard Setup option from the WINBIOS Setup main menu. Standard Setup allows you to specify basic system
parameters, such as time and date, and disk drive parameters. The Standard Setup options are described below.
Date/Time Icon
Select the Date and Time icon to change the date, day, or time. The current values for date, day, and time are displayed. Enter
new values through the keyboard.
Master Disk
Slave Disk
Select the Master Disk icon to configure the master hard disk drive. Select the Slave Disk icon to configure the slave hard
disk drive. WINBIOS supports up to four IDE hard disk drives: the primary master, primary slave, secondary master, and
secondary slave. If the hard disk drive is an IDE drive, select Detect Primary or Detect Slave from the Utility section of the
WINBIOS Setup main menu to have WINBIOS automatically detect the IDE drive parameters and report them to this screen.
You can also enter the hard disk drive parameters. Hard disk type 47 is the user-definable drive type. The drive parameters
are: Type, Cylinders, Heads, Write Precompensation, Landing Zone, Sectors, and Capacity.
Using Auto Detect Hard Disk (Only for IDE Drives)
If you select Detect Primary or Detect Slave from the WINBIOS Setup main menu, WINBIOS automatically finds all IDE
hard disk drive parameters for all attached IDE drives. WINBIOS places the hard disk drive parameters that it finds in the
Primary Master or Primary Slave options in Standard Setup.
