Explanation
nonexistent. Run Setup.
The video type in CMOS RAM does not match the
type detected by the BIOS. Run Setup.
The amount of memory on the motherboard is
different than the amount in CMOS RAM. Run Setup.
Run the Standard CMOS Setup to set the date and
time in CMOS RAM.
No response from hard disk drive D:. Drive D: may
be missing. If installed, run the Hard Disk Utility.
Also, check the D: hard disk type in Standard CMOS
Setup to make sure that the hard disk drive type is
correct.
No response from hard disk drive D:. Replace drive
D:.
The boot diskette in floppy drive A: is corrupt. It
cannot be used to boot the system. Use another
boot diskette and follow the screen instructions.
Some systems require that a video switch on the
motherboard be set to either color or monochrome.
Turn the system off, set the switch properly, then
power on.
Error in the DMA controller on the motherboard.
Error in the first DMA channel on the motherboard.
An error has occurred with the second DMA channel
on the motherboard.
The BIOS is not able to communicate with the floppy
disk drive controller. Check all appropriate
connections after the system is powered down.
The BIOS cannot communicate with the hard disk
drive controller. Check all connectors after the
system is powered down.
The interrupt channel #1 has failed POST.
The interrupt channel #2 has failed POST.
The BIOS can read the diskette in floppy drive A:,
but it cannot boot the system with it. Use another
boot diskette and follow the screen instructions.
The keyboard lock on the system is engaged. The
system must be unlocked to continue the boot
process.
The BIOS has found a timing problem with the
keyboard. Set Keyboard in Standard CMOS Setup to
Not Installed, which skips the keyboard POST
routines.
The BIOS has found an error with the keyboard
connector on the motherboard.
Cannot find a proper bootable sector on either
diskette drive A: or hard disk drive C:. ROM Basic
(INT 18h) does not run. The BIOS cannot find ROM
Basic.
There is a parity error in memory installed in an I/O
(BUS) slot. The message format is:
