Light Class

The light control icon is used to turn on or turn off lights. It
requires a Receiver latching relay for control of the light.
The Light Class Icon Setup dialog box has two sections. Type
a light icon Description in the text entry box at the top. This
description is displayed in the icon dialog box when the icon is
activated in Excalibur. Next, enter the number of the switcher
that controls the Receiver with the light control relay. The
switcher number entered must be for a valid switcher that is
connected and set up.
In the lower section of the dialog box enter a Camera number,
a Monitor number to call the camera to, and an Auxiliary
number for the light on/off control relay.
A second (local) switcher call may be defined for this icon, for
operating in a "Satellite" mode (page 5-2). Select the "2nd
Switcher" button to bring up the Second (LOCAL) Switcher
Setup dialog box, illustrated on page 5-5. Enter the second
switcher number, the input (camera) number, and the output
(monitor) number in the appropriate entry boxes. (Refer to the
Second (LOCAL) Switcher Setup box illustrated on page 5-5.)
An operator Control Level, from 0 to 15, may be defined for
the light icon to restrict its control.
After all data is entered as desired, select "OK" to save the
icon setup data and close the dialog box. Select "Cancel" to
exit without saving the icon setup information. See page 5-2
for restrictions on using "Delete".

Video Class

The VCR, Quad, and Phoneline video icons are used like fixed
camera icons to view the output of a VCR, Quad, or Phoneline
video display on a selected monitor.
The Video Class Icon Setup dialog box has two sections.
Enter an icon Description in the text entry box at the top. This
description is displayed in the icon dialog box when the icon is
activated in Excalibur. Next, enter the Switcher number of the
switcher that controls this video input. The switcher number
entered must be for a valid switcher.
In the lower section of the dialog box enter a Switcher Input
number that the video input is connected to, and a Switcher
Monitor number to route this video input to.
A second (local) switcher call may be defined for this icon.
This is useful for operating in a "Satellite" mode, as described
on page 5-2. Select the "2nd Switcher" box and enter the
second switcher number, the input (camera) number, and the
output (monitor) number in the appropriate entry boxes.
(Refer to the Second (LOCAL) Switcher Setup box illustrated
on page 5-5.)
After all data is entered as desired, select "OK" to save the
icon setup data and close the dialog box. Select "Cancel" to
exit without saving the icon setup information. See page 5-2
for restrictions on using "Delete".
Note: This Quad icon setup provides no control over the Quad
unit, such as selecting the Cameras displayed in the Quad
view. If Excalibur control of the Quad is desired, the
optional AD Quad Icon Setup program is required.
