Video Menu
If the Excalibur system PC has a video display capture card
installed (see page 1-3), the Video menu is available in the
Excalibur System Setup menu bar. If a video capture card is
not installed in the PC, this menu and associated functions are
not available.
The "Video" pull-down menu provides three selections:
1024x768 Tiled Mode, Image Directory, and File Format.
Tiled Window Mode
The Tiled window mode sets the display windows in a "tiled"
mode when the monitor resolution is set for 1024 X 768 pixel
mode. This mode places camera control boxes, alarm/status
dialog boxes, and the video display window so they do not
overlap the map display. This mode makes system operation
faster and easier, but it works best on 17" or larger monitors.
This mode can be set whether on-screen video is used or not.
To set the Tiled window mode, select "Video" from the
Excalibur System Setup menu bar. Click the mouse on the
"1024x768 Tiled Mode" entry in the Video pull-down menu to
enable or disable the tiled mode. When this menu entry has a
check mark to its left, tiled mode is enabled; when there is no
check mark, tiled mode is not on.
Image Directory
This function establishes the directory used for storing
captured video images. These images can be saved on a local
drive. To set the Image directory, select the "Image Directory"
entry from the Video pull-down menu. An Image File
Directory dialog box is displayed, illustrated below.
EXCALIBUR SYSTEM SETUP
Use the standard Windows file list box actions to view other
drives or directories. When a directory is selected, the full
directory name and path is displayed in the "Directory"
window. Select the desired directory, then select "OK".
File Format
This menu item defines the file format to be used for saving
captured video images. Note that all file formats may not be
available for all capture boards. The approximate file size is
displayed for each format.
To set the video file format, select the "File Format" entry
from the Video pull-down menu. An Image File Directory
dialog box is displayed, illustrated below.
Select the desired format with the mouse, then select "OK" at
the bottom of the dialog box.
For more information on video display and capture operation,
see the description of "On-Screen Video Display", page 1-3.
