MIDI Input Filter

Selecting option 3 from the MIDI key menu presents the MIDI
Input Filter screen, which allows specific types of MIDI events to be
either received or ignored by the MPC3000:

There are two sections, the Sound Generator Input Filter and the
Sequencer Input Filter. The fields are:
The Sound Generator Input Filter section:
• The
MIDI volume
This choice field has two options:
RECEIVE
, incoming MIDI volume messages (controller 7) will
affect the sound generator's overall output volume on all outputs. If
IGNORE
set to
, incoming MIDI volume messages will be ignored.

MIDI vol now
This field shows the last value of MIDI volume (controller 7)
received. A value of 127 is normal (no attenuation). Any value less
than 127 causes the volume of all outputs to be attenuated from
normal. A VALUE OF ZERO WILL SILENCE ALL AUDIO
OUTPUTS EVEN IF ALL OTHER PARAMETERS ARE SET
CORRECTLY!
