Effects Generator

The MPC3000 contains an internal effects generator capable of a
number of delay effects. To access the settings of the effects genera-
tor, select option 5 from the MIXER/EFFECTS menu screen. The
following screen will appear:
============ Effects (Delay) ===========
Vol:
Delay 1=
100
Delay 2=
Delay 3=
========================================
(FX=ON )
There are three separate delays. Each has the following fields:
Vol
• The
(Volume) field:
This field sets the volume level to the stereo mix, simulating the
effects return level on a hardware mixing console.
Pan
• The
field:
This field sets the pan position within the stereo mix.
Time
• The
field:
This field sets the delay time, from 1 to 1486 milliseconds.
Fdbk
• The
(feedback) field:
This sets the amount of delayed signal fed back into the delay input.
The range is from 0 to 100%.
COMMENT: The feedback level of each delay is independent
of the volume level. This means that if at least one
field is set above 0, then all of the
produce feedback if set above 0.
COMMENT: Since all three delays use the same delay
memory, the feedback of one delay will include the feedback
of the others and will therefore add together. For this reason,
be sure that the sum of the three
exceed 100% or infinite feedback will occur.
COMMENT: The values used in this screen are normally
taken from the active program. Because of this, whenever the
active program is changed, the newly selected program's
effects settings will immediately become active. However, it is
also possible to use effects data from the active sequence so
that each newly selected sequence will have its own custom
