1. Detachment

1) Collect the refrigerant gas with the recovery equipment.

2) Perform Step 1 of 1, Step 1 of 2, Step 1 of 3, Step 1 of 4,
Step 2 of 4, Step 5) of 1 of 9.
3) Slide the sensor holder up to remove the lock, and pull it out of
the center of the set ( Fig. 13-1 )
4) Remove the TE sensor, banding band, and pipe cover that are mounted
in the distributer assembly. ( Fig. 13-1 )
5) Remove the banding band, and pipe cover that are mounted in the
distributer assembly. ( Fig. 13-1 )

6) Use a burner to remove the header and the 4-way valve connection
pipe that are connected to the heat exchanger assembly.

7) Use a burner to remove the packed valve connection piping and
heat exchanger connection piping.
( Fig. 13-1 )
Be careful when using the burner to remove
pipes by heating the welds because oil in the
pipes may burst into flame when the solder
melts.
8) Lift up the packed valve connection piping and 4-way valve
connection piping for the heat exchanger assembly and
pull them out.
9) Remove the bottom plate screws and the heat exchanger assembly.

) Remove the bottom panel screws and the guard holder.

11) Remove the screws from the heat exchanger assembly and
partition plate. ( Fig. 13-3 )
12) Replace it with a new heat exchanger assembly.
Work with enough people so work can be done
smoothly and without risk.
Be careful not to bend the piping by applying
too much force.
Be careful not to injure yourself on the steel
panels or fins of the heat exchanger.
2. Attachment
1) Install it in the reverse of the procedure to remove it.
2) Attach banding band to 2 positions on the distributor assembly.
