41. Troubleshooting warning
messages
Possible causes
The PCB has detected that the burner
control unit has been replaced
Water pressure has fallen
below warning limit
Another boiler coding card has been
inserted. All parameters have been reset
to the factory setting; PCB HCM-2 or
GBCe has been replaced
No flame was detected
at the last start attempt
of the burner.
Flame failure during operation
Fan speed does not reach
set speed or
standstill
Excessive number of burner starts
Gas valve faulty
Gas supply pressure outside set range
Ionisation electrode corroded/bent
Current controller on GBC-e faulty
Gas valve power supply faulty
Burner earthing faulty
Remedy
Ensure that the correct boiler coding card has
been inserted.
Check appliance parameter settings.
Check the system pressure,
test sensor.
Ensure that the correct
boiler coding card is inserted.
Check appliance parameter settings.
Wait for more start attempts.
Check the ignition electrode and ignition
transformer.
Check the monitoring electrode.
Check the gas supply pressure.
Check/replace monitoring electrode.
Flue path blocked.
Condensate drain blocked.
Check the gas supply pressure.
Check flue gas system, PWM and
power cable to fan.
Check connection between CGBe and HCM-2.
Inadequate heat transfer:
Ensure adequate heat transfer (open
radiators).
Increase burner cycle block HG09.
Gas valve:
- Check cables, plugs, power supply and
switching.
Gas pressure:
- Check gas supply pressure (flow pressure);
if OK:
Ionisation electrode:
- Check the condition of the electrode; clean
or replace if necessary.
- Adjust gap and position or replace if neces-
