2 CONNECTING THIRD PARTY OPTIONAL DEVICES
2.3.2 Installing the Man-down Tilt
Switch in the TK-5210
Be careful not to damage the seal between the transceiver
and its cover. Damaging the seal may degrade the
waterproof performance of the transceiver.
1. Remove the 4 screws that hold the cover in place.
2. Insert tweezers into the cover screw hole and pull off
the cover.

3. Solder the Man-down Tilt Switch to the TX-RX PCB
(X57-6820-10).
Connect the 2 cables from the Man-down Tilt Switch
to the position shown in the following figure.
Solder the
black wire
(outside) here.
4. Install the sheet and cushion in the transceiver.
G11-2572-04 (13 mm x 7 mm x 0.188 mm) can be
used for the sheet.
G13-2070-04 (Boron 12 mm x 7 mm x 3 mm) can be
used for the cushion.
Install the sheet and cushion by inserting them into the
location where the blue wire is soldered, aligning in
center.
