2 CONNECTING THIRD PARTY OPTIONAL DEVICES
3. Connect the provided cable to the QE-2 board.
4. Cut the cable to the appropriate length to allow the
wires to be dressed and soldered.
A length of approximately 1-1/2" is suitable.
5. Remove the Optional Board Connector PCB.
Remove the Optional Board Connector PCB and peel
off the cushion tape from the board. Refer to "2.2.2
Configuring and Modifying the TX-RX PCB".

6. Solder the Optional Board Connector PCB to the
cable.
Connect the Optional Board Connector PCB to the
cable as shown in the following figure.

7. Prepare 2 sheets of cushions having double-sided
adhesive tape.
G13-1974-04 (Boron 20 mm x 30 mm x 1.0 mm) can
be used for the cushion.
8. Attach a piece of cushion tape to both sides of the QE-
2 board as shown in the figure.
