Thank you for purchasing the Sharp Digital Copier AR-650/800. This Operator's M anual describes the
follow ing:
• how to use the digital copier
• how to m ake copies
• how to inspect and carry out m aintenance on the digital copier
• how to rem edy m echanical and copying problem s.
Before using the digital copier, thoroughly read and understand this Operator's M anual. To ensure that
clean copies are m ade at all tim es and to m ake sure that the digital copier is in optim um w orking order,

User Safety
This Sharp digital plain paper copier does not produce laser radiation hazardous to the user. It is certified
as a Class 1 laser product under the U.S. Departm ent of Health and Hum an Services (DHHS) Radiation
Perform ance Standard according to the Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968.
Protective housing and external covers com pletely confine the laser light em itted inside the plain paper
copier. The laser beam cannot escape from the m achine during any phase of user operation.
Regulations im plem ented on August 2, 1976 by the Bureau of Radiological Health (BRH) of the U.S. Food
and Drug Adm inistration apply to laser products m anufactured from August 1, 1976. Laser products
m arketed in the United States m ust com ply w ith these regulations.
