NERGY TAR Program , to enourage the w idespread and voluntary use of energy-efficient technologies
that enhance the w orkplace, im prove product perform ance and prevent pollution. As an

TAR Partner, the Sharp Corp. has determ ined that this copier m odel m eets the
guidelines for energy efficiency.

NERGY TAR guidelines for this class of copier require
feature that autom atically turns the copier off after a period of inactivity, ensuring night and w eekend
shut-off. The copier m ust also autom atically change to a 'Low Pow er M ode' (Autom atic Energy Save)
after a period of tim e since the last usage.
For Copier+Printer or FAX m odels,
copiers to have a 'Sleep M ode' feature that autom atically m akes the copier enter the sleep m ode after
a period of inactivity. The copier m ust also autom atically change to a 'Low Pow er M ode' (Autom atic
Energy Save) after a period of tim e since the last usage.
Specifically, this copier com plies w ith the follow ing requirem ents-
The AR-650/ 800 Copier model (Base model)
'Off M ode'-
The copier consum es less than 20 w atts in the 'Off M ode'.
'Off M ode' Default Time-
The default tim e for the 'Off M ode' is 90 m inutes.
'Automatic Energy Save'-
The copier consum es less than 255 w atts (AR-650) / 313 w atts (AR-800) during Energy Save.
'Automatic Energy Save' Default Time-
The default tim e for the 'Autom atic Energy Save' is 15 m inutes.
The AR-650/ 800 Copier + Printer model (M ultifunction model)
'Sleep M ode'-
The copier consum es less than 95 w atts in the 'Sleep M ode'.
'Sleep M ode' Default Time-
The default tim e for the 'Sleep M ode' is 90 m inutes.
'Automatic Energy Save'-
The copier consum es less than 300 w atts (AR-650) / 358 w atts (AR-800) during Energy Save.
'Automatic Energy Save' Default Time-
The default tim e for the 'Autom atic Energy Save' is 15 m inutes.
Note1- The default setting for the 'Off M ode' or 'Sleep M ode' and 'Autom atic Energy Save' can be
changed. If you w ant to increase the default setting, contact your authorized Sharp dealer.
Note2- For Copier m odel (Base m odel), to restart the copier after an autom atic shut-off, return the
pow er sw itch to the 'On' position.
Note3- For Copier m odel (Base m odel), after an autom atic shut-off, the w eekly tim er feature cannot be
activated. If you prefer to activate this feature, contact your authorized Sharp dealer.
