Homing using encoder zero mark and homing output cam

Function
The homing output cam signal must be connected to a digital input on the ADI4 (X6-2, Pins 2
to 5). The homing output cam signal is processed in the controller as part of the homing
operation.
Once the homing output cam signal is detected, the controller reduces the axis velocity to
the homing approach velocity and requests the ADI4 to home to the next encoder zero mark.
Once the request is detected, the ADI4 transmits the actual encoder value to the controller
as the home position the next time it detects an encoder zero mark.
Without 611U conformant mode
No further measures are required.
With 611U conformant mode
The relevant signal for the axis to be homed (e.g. Axis 1) must be set in the digital output
word:
