Chapter 4 The Effects Explained

OD/DIST (Overdrive/Distortion)

This effect distorts the sound to create long sustain. The GT-
6B provides nine types of distortion with two different
custom settings.

OD: Overdrive

This provides the warm, natural type of distortion that
occurs naturally when you turn up the volume on a tube
amp. This effect is often used as an amp pre-booster.

DST: Distortion

This effect features a deep, powerful distortion that is
difficult to achieve with amp distortion alone.

FUZ: Fuzz

This effect gives an even more powerful and intense
distortion than you get with regular distortion.

Distortion
Standard distortion sound.

GUV DS
GUV'NOR.
The sound of the BOSS MT-2.
Metal Zone
'60s FUZZ
Models the sound of the FUZZFACE.
Oct Fuzz
Models the sound of the ACETONE
FUZZ.
Models the sound of the Electro-Har-
MUFF FUZZ
monix Big Muff.

When CUSTOM is Selected for TYPE
When the TYPE is set to CUSTOM, you can set the following
parameters.

Drive
Adjusts the amount of distortion. The distortion gets more
intense as the value is increased.
Bass
Adjusts the tone of the lower range. The bass is given more
emphasis as the value is increased.
Treble
Adjusts the tone of the upper range. The treble is given more
emphasis as the value is increased.
Effect Level
Adjusts the volume of the distorted sound.
Direct Level
Adjusts the level of the Bass direct sound.
