8 INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
■ Fuel Filter - Bleed Air
Bleed air from the fuel filter.
• For the location of the fuel filter, refer
to
"2 ENGINE - OUTLINE" (→ Page
Loosen the air vent plug of the fuel

filter by turning it counterclockwise.
• Tool: Ring spanner

Operate the priming pump up and

down to feed fuel

Connect a clear plastic tube onto the

bleeder screw of the fuel injection
pump, and place a container to
receive fuel.

• Prepare a plastic tube (6 mm [0.24 in.]
in diameter, approx. 2 m [78.74 in.]
long).
