Check the belt visually.

• Check for peeling or breaks.
If any abnormality is found, replace the belt
with a new one.
Check the belt tension.

If the belt tension is out of the standard
value, adjust the belt tension.

• The new belt has an initial stretch.
Operate the engine for about 1 hour
and adjust the belt tension again.
