Select installation location
Decide the installation location, with the consideration of the following conditions, under user's approval.
1. Place without any risk of combustible gas leakage and place with no flammable material such as thinner or gasoline.
(When gas leakage occurs, it may cause fire or explosion.)
2. Place where warm discharge air or noise from the outdoor unit may not disturb the neighbor.
3. Place where structure can bear the weight and vibration of the outdoor unit.
4. Well ventilated place with sufficient service place for repairs and maintenance.
5. Place where you can connect the refrigerant pipes between indoor and outdoor units within allowable distance.
6. Place where water-proofing and drainage work can be easily done for around outdoor unit, since condensation water
occurs from the outdoor unit once indoor unit starts to operate.
7. Place where warm air from the outdoor unit does not disturb pedestrian.
8. Place where air inlet and outlet of the air conditioner is not partially or entirely blocked by surrounding object.
• System air conditioner may cause static noise when listening to AM stations. Therefore, select an installation location
where electrical wiring can be done while keeping certain distance from a radio, computer and stereo equipment.
CAUTION
- Especially, keep the unit at least 3 m away from the electrical equipment in an area with weak electromagnetic
waves and put the main power cable and communication cables in a separately installed protection tube and
make sure to ground the protection tube.
- Make sure that there is no equipment that generates electromagnetic waves. If not electromagnetic waves may
cause problem to the control systems which may lead to air conditioner malfunction.
• When installing the outdoor unit in a heavily snowing regions, please take following measure.
- Make the base ground higher so that air inlet of the outdoor unit will not be buried in snow.
• Refrigerant used in air conditioner is non-toxic and non-flammable. However, when the air conditioner is installed in
small space, extra ventilation system is required in case of refrigerant leakage.
• Do not modify the cooling only air conditioner by attaching the heating device or electric heater to it. (It may cause
damage, fire or electric shock.)
• Should adopt bar type louver. Don't use a type of rain resistance louver.
