• Sum check code
The sum check code is a 2-digit ASCII (hexadecimal) representing the lower 1 byte (8 bits) of the sum derived from the
checked ASCII data.

• Error code
If any error is found in the data received by the inverter, its error definition is sent back to the computer together with the
NAK code.

Sum
Error item
The number of errors consecutively detected in
communication request data from the computer is greater
than the permissible number of retries.
The parity check result does not match the specified parity.
The sum check code in the computer does not match that of
the data received by the inverter.
The data received by the inverter has a grammatical mistake.
Or, data receive is not completed within the predetermined
time. The CR or LF code specification is not the same as the
setting of the parameter.
The stop bit length differs from the initial setting.
New data has been sent by the computer before the inverter
completes receiving the preceding data.
The character received is invalid (other than 0 to 9, A to F,
control code).
Parameter write was attempted when the inverter does not
perform computer link communication, when the operation
commands are not given through communication, or during
inverter operation.
The specified instruction code does not exist.
Invalid data has been specified for parameter writing, set
frequency setting, etc.

Inverter operation
The inverter output is shut off
(E.PUE) if error occurs
continuously more than the
permissible number of retries.
The LF signal is output.
The inverter does not accept the
received data. However, the
inverter output is not shut off.
The inverter does not accept the
received data. However, the
