Troubleshooting

Keypad display messages

The following is a list of messages, which may appear on the keypad display and
the required action to respond to each message. If your action does not solve the
problem, or if a message appears which is not listed here, contact your
distributor or the Gerber Field Service Department.
Message

CHECK VINYL
CLOSE COVER
DATA ERROR
INITIALIZING
OFFLINE
ONLINE
PAUSED
Required Action
Make sure foil is correctly loaded and press
ONLINE.
Make sure vinyl is correctly loaded and press
ONLINE.
Close cover and press ONLINE.
Check the cabling between the computer and
the
. Make sure the
EDGE
setting is the same as the Gerber software
checksum setting (refer to the "Using the
keypad and display" section on page 35). If the
message continues, contact your distributor or
the Gerber Field Service Department.
