Troubleshooting

Keypad Display Messages

The following is a list of messages which may appear on the keypad
display and your response to each message. If your response does not
solve the problem, or if a message appears which is not listed here,
contact your distributor or the Gerber Field Service Department.
Message
CHECK FOIL
CHECK VINYL
CLOSE COVER
CLOSE LATCH
COOLING DOWN
DATA ERROR
Required Action
Make sure foil is correctly loaded and press
ONLINE.
Make sure vinyl is correctly loaded and
press ONLINE.
Close cover and press ONLINE.
Close cover and press ONLINE.
Wait for printhead to cool down. When
printhead is sufficiently cool, the "Paused"
message is displayed. Press ONLINE to
resume printing.
Check the cabling between the
GRAPHIX ADVANTAGE and the
GERBER EDGE. Make sure the
GERBER EDGE checksum setting is the
same as the GRAPHIX ADVANTAGE
checksum setting (refer to the "Using the
Keypad and Display" section of this
manual). If the message continues, contact
your distributor or the Gerber Field
Service Department.
