All copper Ethernet ports on RUGGED- COM products include transient suppression circuitry to protect against damage from electrical transients and conform with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 Class 1 standards.

    2.3.1 Mounting the Device on a DIN Rail For DIN rail installations, the RUGGEDCOM RS900GP can be ordered with a DIN rail adapterthat can be affixed to the back of the chassis. Use the adapter to mount the device to a standard 35 mm (1.4 in) IEC/EN 60715 or TS35 DIN rail.

    The following describes the various methods for accessing the RUGGEDCOM RS900GP console and Web interfaces on the device. Serial Console Port Connect a PC or terminal directly to the serial console port to access the boot-time control and RUGGEDCOM ROS console interface.

Each port complies with the IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3af stan- dards, and feature the ability to automatically enable/disable power when PoE-capa- ble devices are connected or removed.
