Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS)

Porsche Vehicle Tracking
A
System (PVTS)
B
PVTS is a GSM/GPS-based tracking system that al-
C
lows a Security Operating Centre (SOC) to locate the
D
vehicle if it is stolen. It can then be found by the
authorities.
E
As soon as PVTS detects a theft alarm, the location
F
of the vehicle in question is sent to the Security Op-
erating Centre (SOC). There are two different PVTS
G
equipment variants:
H
– PVTS Plus with Driver Card
– PVTS without Driver Card
I
The PVTS vehicle equipment is affected by the in-
J
surance and legal requirements in the relevant
K
country. If you have questions about the installed
PVTS variant:

Detailed information on activating the system is
available at www.porsche.com/connect or from a
Porsche partner.
Functions
Vehicle tracking is only carried out if the vehicle is
stolen. In this case, a notification is sent to the
specified mobile phone number. The location of the
vehicle is not specified in the notification for safety
reasons.
e Contact the Security Operating Centre (SOC) if
your vehicle is stolen. In addition, report the theft
to the competent police authority.
The following alarms can be set:
– Unauthorised movement of the vehicle: The ve-
hicle is moved when the ignition is switched off.
On vehicles with Driver Card: The vehicle is
moved without a Driver Card.
– Sabotage: PVTS was used without authorisation.
– Break-in alarm: The alarm system was triggered
and has been active for more than 15 seconds.
Information
– There is no guarantee that the theft of a vehicle
will always be detected.
– The PVTS alarm can be triggered even if the ve-
hicle battery is flat.
Information
Note for Belgium / Luxembourg:
If the Driver Card remains in the parked vehicle for
longer than 30 minutes, it becomes invalid. In order
to reactivate the card, disarm mode must be acti-
vated via the app, customer portal or Security Oper-
ating Centre (SOC).
Information
– If the vehicle was stolen, the Security Operating
Centre (SOC) can prevent the engine from
starting.
– On vehicles with the Porsche Connect smart-
phone app or Car Connect (depending on coun-
try), access to the vehicle using the app or on My
Porsche is blocked in the event of theft.
Operating PVTS without Driver
Card
When PVTS is operated normally, no intervention on
your part is required.
Operating PVTS Plus with Driver
Card
PVTS Plus can be activated and deactivated auto-
matically using a Driver Card.
