Configuration and Profibus Connection -
Transducer Class 3/4
Properties
The BTL5-T110... Micropulse
transducer makes it possible to
configure the BTL in a Profibus
system:

Parameterizing data
In parameterizing a distinction is
made between encoder-specific
and Profibus-specific parameters.
Programmable BTL parameters:
- Number of magnets
- Position and velocity resolution
- Set switchpoints/cams for
position and velocity
- Specify working range
- Set zero point
Profibus communication
parameters:
- Cycle times
- Isochronic settings
Bus parameters:
- Setting the transmission speed
(baud rate)
- Setting the node number
Definitions
ASIC
Application Specific Integrated
Circuit. For PROFIBUS a number of
ASICs have become available
which contain some or all of the
PROFIBUS protocol. A PROFIBUS
interface can then be created
using just a few additional
components.
Baud rate
Data transmission speed on the
Profibus.
