Making/Answering Calls Using the Base Unit

Making cellular calls

Important:
R The unit cannot be used to talk on 2 cellular
lines at the same time.
R Only 1 Bluetooth device can be used with the

unit at a time
.
R Before making calls, confirm that the
corresponding CELL indicator on the base unit
lights up (page 15).
*1 You cannot use a Bluetooth headset to talk on
a cellular line.

Dial the phone number.
R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN.

Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N.

Lift the corded handset.

When you finish talking, place the corded
handset on the cradle.
Note:
R While on a call, you can switch from the base
unit to the cordless handset as follows.
The call sharing mode must be on (page 50).
A Handset: MCELLN
desired cellular phone. a MSELECTN
*1 The call is taken when:
– Only 1 cellular phone is paired.
– A specific line is set to make cellular calls
(page 20).
B Base unit: Place the corded handset on the
cradle. When the speakerphone is used, press
M N.
R During a conversation with the corded handset,
you can switch to the speakerphone by pressing
M N, then place the corded handset on the
cradle.
Adjusting the receiver or speaker volume
Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking.
Note:
R The receiver or speaker volume you set is kept
for each line (landline and cellular lines).
Making a call using the redial list
The last 10 phone numbers dialed are stored in
the redial list (48 digits max. each).

Making landline calls

Dial the phone number.
R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN.

Lift the corded handset.
R To make the call using the speakerphone,
press MZN.

When you finish talking, place the corded
handset on the cradle.
Note:
R You can also dial the phone number after lifting
the corded handset.
R To switch to the speaker, press MZN.
To switch back to the receiver, lift the corded
handset.
R While on a call, you can switch from the base
unit to the cordless handset as follows.
The call sharing mode must be on (page 50).

B Base unit: Place the corded handset on the
cradle. When the speakerphone is used, press
MZN.

Pause (for PBX/long distance service users)
A pause is sometimes required when making calls
using a PBX or long distance service. When
storing a calling card access number and/or PIN in
the phonebook, a pause is also needed
(page 41).
Example: If you need to dial the line access
number "9" when making outside calls with a PBX:
