caution! Always make sure the Engine's Ignition (38) is in the "OFF" position
prior to performing any service, maintenance, or cleaning of the Generator or
Engine. Always wear ANSI approved safety impact eye goggles when setting up
and using the Generator.

Acquire a 12V, 18AH Battery, with dimensions no greater than 7" L x 3" W x 7"
H. Read the instruction manual of the Battery for safety warnings and directions.
Remove the packing from the battery. Then, locate the factory pre-installed
battery guard plate and battery tray beneath the control panel of the generator
unit. (See Figure B)

Slide the battery into the battery guard plate, with the battery's terminals facing
outward and with the battery's negative (–) terminal facing left.

Align the two mounting holes in the battery bracket with the two threaded
mounting holes in the battery guard plate. Then secure the battery bracket to the
battery guard plate, using two bolts with lock washers.
4.
Connect the end of the positive battery cable to the battery's positive (+) terminal.
Then connect the negative battery cable to the battery's negative (–) terminal.
