Installing the Left Riser Board

 
CAUTION:
Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system cover and access any of the components inside the system. See
your Product Information Guide for complete information about safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against
electrostatic discharge.
 
1. Place the riser board in the expansion-card cage so that the six securing tabs are fully inserted in the six securing slots on the riser board. See
30.
 
2. Slide the riser board toward the expansion card openings until you feel the riser-board release pin snap into place.
 
3. Replace the expansion-card cage. See
 
4. Install all expansion cards in the expansion-card slots. See
 
5. Close the system. See

Removing the Central Riser Board

 
CAUTION:

1. Press the blue release tab in the center of the central riser to release the board from the system board socket while easing both ends of the riser
upward.
 
2. Lift the central riser board from the two guide pins on either end, and draw the riser away from the system board.
