WARNING
!
The battery gives off explosive hydrogen
gas during normal operation.
A spark or flame can cause the battery
to explode with enough force to kill or
seriously hurt you.
Wear protective clothing and a face
shield or have a skilled mechanic do the
battery maintenance.
Keep children away from the battery.
Removal
1. Make sure the ignition switch is OFF.
2. Remove the right side cover (page 26).
3. Remove the "Bolt" (1) and open the
"Battery Holder" (2).
4. Disconnect the "Negative (-) Terminal
Lead" (3) from the "Battery", first.
5. Disconnect the "Positive (+) Terminal
Lead" (4).
6. Pull out the "Battery" (5) from the
battery box.

Installation
1. Reinstall in the
removal. Be sure to connect the positive
(+) terminal first, then the negative (-)
terminal.
2. Check all bolts and other fasteners are
secure.
