7.1 Overview

This chapter discusses the WAH7601's WAN screens. Use these screens to configure your WAH7601 for
Internet access.
A WAN (Wide Area Network) connection is an outside connection to another network or the Internet. It
connects your private networks such as a LAN (Local Area Network) and other networks, so that a
device in one location can communicate with devices in other locations.
3G and 4G standards for the sending and receiving of voice, video, and data in a mobile environment.
You can insert a 4G SIM card and set the WAH7601 to use this 3G/4G connection as your WAN.

7.1.1 What You Can Do in this Chapter

• Use the Connection screen to configure the WAN settings on the WAH7601 for Internet access

• Use the APN Setting screen to configure user-defined connection profiles
• Use the 4G/3G/2G Modem screen to select the type of network to which you want the WAH7601 to
connect
• Use the PIN screen to enable or disable PIN code authentication
• Use the PLMN screen to display available Public Land Mobile Networks and select a preferred network
for roaming
• Use the WiFi Client screen to change the WAH7601 to client mode
• Use the Data Usage/Statistics screen to specify limiting the amount of the package data and view
the WAH7601's traffic statistics
• Use the Data Usage > Reset Statistics screen to reset all traffic statistics
