Special conditions
If you have to park on a slope or
when towing a trailer, for example,
keep handle 2 pulled out for a few
seconds to obtain the maximum
braking effect.

To
park
applying the parking brake (if there
is a risk of freezing, for example):
- with the engine running, insert the
RENAULT card into card reader 6
or check that it is present in the
reader,
- stop the engine by pressing engine
on/off button 5;
- select a gear (manual gearbox) or
position P (automatic gearbox),
- pull handle 2 while pressing
release button 4, and then release,
- remove the RENAULT access card
from the card reader.

In all cases, the parking brake can
be applied manually, e.g. when
stopping at a red light or on a slope.
To do this, pull out and release
handle 2.
The
brake
will
be
automatically as soon as the vehicle
is started up again.
