STOPPING THE ENGINE

Conditions for stopping the
engine
- vehicle stationary,
- lever in N or P position for
vehicles
with
an
gearbox,
- press button 3.
When the engine is switched off, the
accessories currently being used
(radio, air conditioning, etc.) will
continue to operate.
When the driver's door is opened,
the accessories stop working.

RENAULT Card
With the card in reader 2, pressing
the
engine
switches off the engine.
If the card is no longer in the reader
after the button is pressed for the
first time, the message "confirm
stop
engine"

Press button 3 two more times to
confirm that you want to switch off
the engine.
Hands-Free RENAULT Card
With the card inside the vehicle,
pressing
button 3 once switches off the
engine.
If the card is no longer in the
detection zone after the button is
pressed for the first time, the
automatic
message "confirm stop engine"
appears on the instrument panel.
Press twice more to confirm that
you want to switch off the engine.

Never leave a child (or
animal) alone in the vehicle
with the RENAULT Card
inside. They might start the
engine
or
operate
equipment (e.g.: electric windows)
and there is a risk that they may
trap part of their body (neck, arms,
hand, etc.). Risk of serious injury.
Never switch off the ignition before
the
vehicle
has
completely. Once the engine has
stopped,
the
power
steering, brake servo and the
passive safety devices such as
airbags and pretensioners will no
longer operate.
